Brightling Park offers a truly memorable event space combining a quintessentially British landscape with the benefits of privacy, ease of access and the freedom to create your own personalised event. Whether you’re planning the perfect wedding reception, private party, sporting event, music festival, open-air entertainment or corporate function, we have the facilities to create a truly unique occasion.

Brightling Park is situated at one of the highest points in East Sussex so delivers incredible views over the parkland, towards the sea and towards the South Downs. A range of venues across The Park are on offer, please scroll down for image galleries.

Unlike many venues, we aim to give you the autonomy to do whatever you wish to make your event special to you.  There are also no time restrictions for events so you are free to continue late into the night if you wish or even camp. There are no restrictions on who you use in terms of marquee companies, caterers etc however if you would like  us to be more involved with the organisation of your day, we are happy to recommend suppliers.

Clients can also hire out the holiday cottages for their events, please click here.

Walled Gardens

Hidden in the woods below the house, The Walled Gardens are a hidden gem. Surrounded by ancient ten foot walls with arched entrances on each side, you enter a hidden world of surprising proportions and exquisite privacy. The potting sheds at the eastern end of the garden give on to  landscape of forestry, ponds and streams.

If you are looking for a truly magical venue where your childhood imagination can be restored, this is the place.

The Shoot Shed

The Shoot Shed is an old farm workshop and sits in the middle of The Park, next to the cricket pitch and still serves us well for shoot lunches in the winter months.

For our guests it offers somewhere to eat, drink and be merry in an incomparably charming setting. Sitting up to 20 people around a long, heavy table, the party will go on as long as you keep the candles lit and the fire roaring.

Please note there is no electricity in The Shoot Shed.

Facilities: Gas Cooker

The Summerhouse Folly

The Summerhouse has arguably one of the best views on The Park overlooking the Temple Field and out towards the South Downs and the sea.

Just in front of the Summerhouse is a perfect place for a marquee or yurt, next to which you have a small foot bridge which goes over the Ha-Ha and into the hidden away Summerhouse.
