Camping at Brightling Park

Our sustainable and eco-friendly campsite is situated in the very heart of Brightling Park’s 600-acre estate, offering a totally wild and back to nature experience.

Tucked away beside enchanted Wealden woodland, our campsite provides a magical setting for those who want to experience total escapism and freedom.

We accept every size and shape of tent and we aim to provide enough room so each pitch can be as private as possible with plenty of space for little ones to run around and explore.

We provide an eco-friendly compost loo and access to clean running water which is safe for drinking.

There are a range of recycling bins enabling campers to responsibly dispose of all rubbish.

We do not provide electricity or WIFI, however, the campsite has good phone signal for most major mobile networks.

We are very happy for campers to make campfires and we will provide you with a spade to cut out a square of turf for your fire. We ask that you replace the original turf before you leave so the impact to the piece of ground is minimal. We also sell firewood and kindling sourced from our own woodland by the bag which is available to purchase in advance online or for cash during your stay.

Dogs are welcome

We are very happy for campers to bring dogs. However, please be aware that there is livestock in the fields surrounding the campsite, including lambs, piglets and foals. If any dogs are caught chasing or disturbing livestock, you will be asked to leave immediately.

Things to see and do

There is no shortage of things to see and do in and around the village of Brightling, including adventurous walks, exploring historical monuments and enjoying fine ales at local pubs. For more details on things to see and do, including the Mad Jack Fuller Folly Trail, please click here.

Rural Responsibility Pledge

Sustaining our natural environment is part of the Brightling Park ethos and so we ask all our campers to take a Rural Responsibility Pledge when booking with us. This means that campers agree to respect countryside around them by minimising mess, waste and any potentially lasting damage, as well as being considerate to wildlife and farm livestock.
