Own a Racehorse

The Grissells welcome new owners whether transferring from an existing arrangement or contemplating the first step into owning a racehorse either solely, jointly or in partnership.

Di and Gardie can provide advice on purchasing a horse either at the Sales or through their contacts in the UK, Ireland and France, including accompanying a prospective owner to see a horse at no cost (excluding travel).

As an owner at Brightling, you would be in regular communication personally with Di – through phone and email updates regarding your horse’s progress and its forthcoming plans. Owners are always welcome to arrange a visit to Brightling to see their horses on the gallop as well as schooling. There is a very competitive fee structure, which may be less that you expect.

We have had horses in training at Brightling Park since 1995 with 200 runners over the twenty years.
Every owner hopes for success and we have been fortunate to have been in the Winners’ Enclosure on 120 occasions, with 61 (30%) of those winning.
Di and her team have always made every effort to ensure that the horses are well prepared and have ensured that our racing experience has been enormously enjoyable.
